The NPA is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 professional association that advocates on behalf of postdoctoral scholars – individuals holding doctoral degrees who are pursuing a temporary period in which they obtain additional scholarly training and professional development necessary for a wide range of career paths. Established in 2003, the NPA serves individual postdoctoral scholars and the institutions and organizations that support them. The mission of the NPA is to improve the postdoctoral experience by supporting enhanced research training and a culture of enhanced professional growth to benefit scholarship and innovation.

Postdoctoral fellows at the University of Miami receive exclusive access to NPA subscriptions, original programs, and exclusive toolkits through the intstitutional membership. Follow the steps below to sign up as a free affiliate member and gain access to this exclusive information as a Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Miami. Once you click “Submit”, an NPA Membership Manager will review your Affiliate Membership request within ten working days, and you will receive an email when it has been approved.
