This University of Miami Office of the Vice Provost for Research and Scholarship facilitates the responsible conduct of research (RCR) in professional collaborations, authorship, peer review, mentor/trainee relationships, and data management. The Office provides education and awareness against fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism, as well as offers an outlet for whistleblowing and allegations of misconduct. New policies by various federal agencies, including NIH, NSF, and USDA, mandate that research teams supported by grants must take courses in responsible and ethical research conduct, and compliance must be tracked by the institution. The University of Miami's Office of the Vice Provost for Research and Scholarship (OVPRS) has developed four standardized introductory RCR Training Modules covering various topics related to research, and additional face-to-face training is also required. OVPRS is also creating resources to help guide training programs to develop and implement a curriculum covering all required elements of responsible and ethical research conduct.

This University of Miami Institute for Bioethics and Health Policy focuses on education, research, and community service. The Institute's Dialogues in Research Ethics series provides faculty, staff, and students the opportunity to discuss and debate ethical issues.
The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program) site offers web-based training in research compliance and ethics. The CITI Program may be accessed by Postdoctoral associates and scholars using their University of Miami single-sign on credentials. The RQR program is a product of Epigeum, a company that is part of Oxford University Press. The training is accessible through Blackboard and cosists of six courses with a total of 13 modules. Module length ranges from 45-90 minutes. For access to the RQR modules, email postdoc@miami.edu.
